New Delhi:
People around the world are celebrating International Yoga Day at home in the wake of the Corona virus outbreak. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also delivered a message on the occasion of Yoga Day through video conferencing (PM Narendra Modi on International Yoga Day 2020). International Yoga Day was celebrated for the first time around the world on June 21, 2015. This day has been celebrated with enthusiasm every year since then. This year, the theme of the Yoga Day is 'Yogasana at home, Yogasana with family'.

Prime Minister Modi said, "As a conscious citizen, we will move forward together as a family and as a society. Let's try to make yoga a part of our daily life at home and with our family. We will definitely succeed in this. We have said, ‘Yukta ahara viharasya, yukta chestasya karmasu, yukta swapna-va-bodhasya, yogo bhavati dukha’. That is, yoga is about eating right, playing properly, sleeping and getting up, and doing your work properly. In the song, God also says, ‘Yoga: karmasu kaushalam’, that is, doing our deeds skillfully is yoga. ”

“Yoga leads us to a healthier life. It also has a profound effect on human relationships. Yoga is free from discrimination. Yoga is beyond caste, color, gender, creed and nation. If we correct our health and our expectations, the world will surely witness a healthier and happier life. Yoga will definitely help in this, ”said Modi.

Narendra Modi said, "Swami Vivekananda says," An ideal person is one who remains active even in the most solitary state and experiences complete peace even in the most dynamic state. This is a huge potential for anyone. You do pranayama in your daily life. Learn other pranayamas along with anulom-vilom. ”

President Ramnath Kovind also tweeted Happy Yoga Day. He said, “Happy International Yoga Day to all. Ancient Yoga Science India is an invaluable gift to humanity. I am happy that more and more people are making yoga a part of their lives. Yoga helps to keep the body healthy and the mind calm in situations like conflict and stress, as well as covid-19. ”
