On July 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to pay homage to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Modi was to perform Bhumi Pujan through video conferencing from Delhi. Now Bhumi Pujan has been postponed indefinitely.

Tensions are rising between India and China on the border. China infiltrated the Indian border and 20 Indian soldiers were killed in the conflict. Against this backdrop, the Ram Mandir Trust decided to postpone the Bhumi Pujan program.

The soil from Ayodhya was brought to Delhi on June 2. Senior BJP leader Bhaiyaji Joshi had handed over the land to the Prime Minister's Office.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Shrine Trust

In February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement in the Lok Sabha regarding the Ram Mandir. The Modi cabinet approved the Ram Mandir Trust. The trust set up to build the temple has been named as 'Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthkshetra'. In a statement, Modi said, "Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Shrine Trust will be free to construct magnificent Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya and take decisions on related issues."

Lord Shriram and Ayodhya have historical significance everywhere in India's oxygen, ideally. In view of the number of devotees and their faith in the future, the government has decided that all the 67 acres of land acquired under the Ayodhya Act, including the inner and outer courtyard, will be handed over to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi shrine, Modi had said.

The government has drawn up a plan to build a Ram temple in the motherland as per the Supreme Court order. Shri Ram Mandir Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra will be established. This trust will be completely independent. "After several discussions, we have sanctioned 5 acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board in Ayodhya," Modi had said. 2 जुलै रोजी पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी अयोध्येतील राम मंदिराचे भूमीपूजन करणार होते. दिल्लीतून व्हिडीओ कॉन्फरन्सिंगद्वारे मोदी भूमीपूजन करणार होते. आता अनिश्चित काळासाठी भूमीपूजन लांबणीवर पडले आहे.

सीमेवर भारत-चीनमध्ये तणाव वाढत आहे. चीनने भारताच्या सीमारेषेवर घुसखोरी केली आणि संघर्षात 20 भारतीय जवान शहीद झाले. या पार्श्वभूमीवर राम मंदिर ट्रस्ट भूमीपूजनाचा कार्यक्रम पुढे ढकलण्याचा निर्णय घेतला.

अयोध्येतली माती 2 जून रोजीच दिल्लीला आणण्यात आली होती. भाजपचे ज्येष्ठ नेते भैय्याजी जोशी यांनी पंतप्रधान कार्यालयाकडे ही माती स्वाधीन केली होती.

श्री राम जन्मभूमी तीर्थक्षेत्र ट्रस्ट

फेब्रुवारी महिन्यात पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी लोकसभेत राम मंदिराबाबत निवेदन दिलं. मोदी कॅबिनेटने राम मंदिर ट्रस्टला मंजुरी दिली. मंदिर उभारण्यासाठी जो ट्रस्ट स्थापन करण्यात आला, त्याला ‘श्री राम जन्मभूमी तीर्थक्षेत्र’ असं नाव देण्यात आलं आहे. त्याबाबत निवेदन देताना मोदी म्हणाले, “श्री राम जन्मभूमी तीर्थक्षेत्र ट्रस्ट अयोध्येत भव्य-दिव्य श्रीराम मंदिर निर्माण आणि संबंधित विषयांवर निर्णय घेण्यासाठी स्वतंत्र असेल”

भारताच्या प्राणवायूत, आदर्शात सर्वत्र प्रभू श्रीराम आणि अयोध्येचं ऐतिहासिक महत्त्व आहे. भविष्यात भाविकांची संख्या आणि श्रद्धा पाहता, सरकारने निर्णय घेतला आहे, अयोध्या कायद्यानुसार अधिगृहित सर्व जमीन 67 एकर ज्यामध्ये आत आणि बाहेरील अंगणाचा समावेश आहे, ती श्री रामजन्मभूमी तीर्थक्षेत्राला सोपवण्यात येईल, असं मोदींनी सांगितलं होतं.

सुप्रीम कोर्टाच्या आदेशानुसार सरकारने जन्मभूमीत राम मंदिर उभारण्यासाठी योजना तयार केली आहे. श्री राम मंदिर जन्मभूमी तीर्थ क्षेत्र स्थापन करण्यात येईल. हा ट्रस्ट पूर्णपणे स्वतंत्र असेल. सुप्रीम कोर्टाचे निर्देश, अनेक चर्चांनंतर आम्ही अयोध्येत सुन्नी वक्फ बोर्डाला 5 एकर जमीन मंजूर केली आहे, असंही मोदींनी सांगितलं होतं.
